The Answer Man

Dear Larry,

I read a brief article about WolframAlpha? What exactly is it?

V. T.

Dear V. T.,

WolframAlpha is quickly becoming the “Google” of human knowledge. We often turn to Google when we want to find a website having to do with a particular topic. Similarly, we can now turn to WolframAlpha when we want an answer to a question concerning human knowledge.

The website and knowledge engine was developed by Wolfram Research, a company founded by Stephen Wolfram, a British physicist, mathematician, and businessman, and will undoubtedly evolve over time, both in its volume of knowledge as well as its ability to understand human language queries.
