Accent on Computers™ was founded by Larry Schneider in order to deliver a broad range of computer consulting services to businesses, professional offices, and individuals in both Fairfield County (CT) and the Greater New York area.

Mr. Schneider’s experience with computers goes back to the 1970’s, when he began working with mini-computers as a student at Harvard University. He graduated from Harvard in 1978 with a bachelor’s degree in engineering and applied physics.

Upon earning his masters degree in business administration in 1980 from the University of Chicago, Mr. Schneider began designing microcomputer-based systems at Hewitt Associates, a benefits consulting firm headquartered in Lincolnshire, Illinois.

After seven years at Hewitt Associates, he joined Goldman, Sachs & Co. in New York, where, for nine years, he served as Manager of Information Systems for their Public Finance Department. In addition, Mr. Schneider was an instructor in the technology department at Greenwich Continuing Education in Greenwich, CT for many years. He also writes a weekly column for the Greenwich Connecticut Post under the heading Log On with Larry™ where he comments on a wide array of computer-related subjects.
